Dear Father John...

"I just wanted to write and thank you for doing my mum proud. Because of losing my lovely son just 13 months ago, you have no idea how I was dreading going back to the Crem. I really don’t think I could have coped with a Holy do, but you were right up my mums street and half of the congregation I think."

Thanks again,

"Dearest FJ, we wanted to send you a huge 'Thank You' for truly making our wedding day so special. So many people have written to say how great it was - the day really did turn out to be all that we wanted it to be and so much more. We really cannot thank you enough."

"I don't know how you did it but you managed to hit exactly the right note and say precisely the right things at 'K's funeral a couple of weeks ago. I was very impressed and very grateful, so thank you. She would have liked the joke about the father's wreath of brussel sprouts and all in all, I think she would have been quite pleased with her send-off. It was good to meet you and thank you again for all your trouble and consideration. I hope your jokes weren't too faithful!"

"If there is such a thing as a wonderful cremation, it was my wife's. It made a very sad day so much brighter for me and my family. I am thinking of the opening poem in Italian, priceless. Being beside her when blessing her and of course the red rose you so kindly gave to me. The service was conducted in such a way that her friends and mine thought you were a family friend. I thank you again and I'm sure 'P' sends her love."

Love .............
"I should like to thank you for the very considerate and dignified, but not gloomy ceremony you conducted for my mother earlier today."

With best wishes,
